Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

I’ve been gaining an understanding of the challenges associated with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and early years provision on a local and national level, liaising with experts, the council, and education providers to understand the challenges our families face. I hosted a roundtable in Parliament with experts and MPs and have been meeting with local parents and teachers to hear their experiences and learn how we can better support children. I know that there are gaps in our system that must be addressed. Over the next year, I will continue this vital work because I want to ensure children and young people across our constituency are properly supported.
