Dan Tomlinson is the first Labour Member of Parliament for Chipping Barnet. As a local MP, Dan is focused on reducing crime, increasing community safety and improving access to the local NHS, among many other issues. 

 

Dan serves as the National Mission Champion for the Government’s Growth Mission. Prior to being elected, Dan worked as an economist on the reforms needed to improve family living standards and grow the economy. He has previously worked at HM Treasury and the Resolution Foundation, an economic research organisation, where he co-authored the paper calling for the furlough scheme. Most recently, Dan was a Principal Policy Advisor at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the UK’s leading anti-poverty charity. 

 

Before representing Chipping Barnet, he served as a Labour Councillor in Inner London.
