Better rail for New Barnet and Oakleigh Park
It’s time for an upgrade to our local train services.
Other parts of outer London have recently benefited from increased train frequency after joining the London Overground network. People in Barnet deserve those benefits too.
That’s why I’ve launched this petition calling on the Mayor of London and Secretary of State for Transport to bring the train services from New Barnet and Oakleigh Park “in-house” into Transport for London.
By bringing these services under Transport for London’s management, residents across East Barnet, Barnet Vale, Whetstone, Brunswick Park and beyond could see a significant increase in the number of trains per hour compared to the current timetable.
I’m convinced this will make a real difference for our communities. But I need a strong show of support to get the government and the Mayor of London to say “yes” to make this happen.
Local Labour Councillors are backing this campaign – will you too?
Sign the petition below to tell the Mayor of London and Secretary of State for Transport that Barnet deserves more frequent rail services.
